Cosmos is an ongoing autobiographical project of folded-paper, spherical objects related by time and order. Each orb in the evolving series embodies an interval of personal reflection that as a whole, constitute a kind of compendium, or specifically, ana. Relationships among the objects are made visually demonstrable by either similar or contrasting use of design elements structure, scale, symmetry, composition, shape, colour and pattern. In discerning the aspects that characterize one circular form against another, viewers of the Cosmos at once open themselves to experiencing the artist’s way of ordering– that is, of understanding–the world.

A spherical structure is chiefly adopted as a favorable archetype since the circle is the shape of which all of life originates and is explained. Sand, particles, even atoms lend their design to form; natural, man-made and thus, universal. The circular-making components are rendered, constructed, multiplied, superimposed, linked and overlapped in different ways to also yield different effects like lightness and darkness, vibrancy and quiet, seriousness and playfulness, and more. It is the awareness of the impressions the orb manifests–both unique and common–which ultimately situate them beyond the individual and into the realm of human experience.

Typically, Cosmos objects are created after completion of a large body of work; no more than a few at a time, partly constructed from carried over materials and paintings. The orbs made with accumulated patterned-pieces determine the essence from the previous artistic process. That is, they are a study of what the artist has learnt by making the art, rather than a study of the art, in retrospect. Orbs consisting of new designs only, take the lesson from the essences and consider what other ways could that knowledge be realized. Environment, circumstance and disposition influence formation in real-time and in time, derive the connections contributing to the same grid of the well-ordered whole, cosmos.
